~ 1822/24 Pattern Kent Rifle Brigade Officer’s Sword And Scabbard By Firmin ~
The fullered blade is double edged towards the tip and is decorated on one side with floral etchings and the Kent Rifle brigade badge.
On the other side can be seen the Victorian cipher beneath the Queen’s Crown and the manufacturer’s name and address ‘Firmin & Sons, 135 Strand & 13 Conduit St, London’.
The hilt bears the Royal Rifles badge beneath the Queen’s Crown.
The grip is made of black copper wired shagreen.
The sword comes with its black leather knot and steel scabbard.

The blade length is 33 inches (84 cm) and the overall length of the sword is 38.25 inches (97 cm).
The sword in its scabbard length is 39 inches (99 cm).
It weighs 1.38 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The sword is in pristine condition.
The blade and all the other metal components have developed some age darkening.
The metalwork is rust and pitting free.
The grip remains excellent and damage free.
