~ 18th Century Flintlock Pistol By Smith Of London ~
This is an excellent 18th century piece with a brass barrel and family crest.
The florally etched steel lockplate is named ‘SMITH’.
The half hexagonal brass barrel is stamped ‘London’ on the top and bears a pair of London proof marks. The stock is of walnut.
The brass trigger guard and the brass pommel are also decorated with floral inlays.
The top of the grip is decorated with an oval shaped brass plate inlayed with a family crest and a ‘TS’ monogram.
The ramrod’s ring are made of florally etched steel.
The pistol half cocks, cocks and releases with a weak spring.

The barrel length is 11.8 inches (30 cm) and the overall length of the pistol is 20 inches (51 cm).
The pistol weighs 1.45 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The pistol is excellent for its age.
Both the metalwork and woodwork have minimum wear.
There are no cracks or serious bruises on its stock.
