"Rogatywka" is the Polish name for an asymmetrical, peaked,four-pointed military cap. "Rog" is a derivative of the word and means "horn". No other army in the world has such a cap. Specific skull band colours have specific Unit / Regiment designations. This is an excellent original Polish Army 1935 Pattern Rogatywka. It's khaki green serge body, patent leather brim with correct white metal rim, leather chin strap with buckle, green vented leather sweatband liner and quilted skull liner are all clean and undamaged. The cap has a dark blue cloth headband which indicates issue to Mechanized Troops & The National Honour Guard and is mounted with the silver bullion Polish Eagle Insignia mounted on green material backing. The lining has a manufacturer's embroided label 'Modus' and ink stamped size '56' protected by a clear plastic stitched panel. It also has a red ink stamp '103'.
