~ A 19th Century Eastern Bone Inlaid Snaphaunce Flintlock Pistol ~
The piece is interesting it has been made completely by hand, it is of basic construction and whilst functioning is more of a show piece.
The ramrod has been placed purely for cosmetic and structural purposes, holding the three part white metal sheathing on the octagonal breached barrel together. The grip has a metal spiraled inlaid pattern, with the left side and top containing a bone inlaid diamond shaped pattern.
~ Dimensions ~
The pistol has a barrel that measures 8 inches (20.5cm) long and measures 14 inches (35.5cm) long overall. It weighs 500g.
~ Condition ~
The mechanism has surface rust but remains complete and in working order. The stock has a chip underneath and two more around the left inlay.
