This is an INERT unfired pre-war German 20mm Flak 38 Practice HET(High Explosive Tracer) round for the Soluthern 20mm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun . This gun was used singularly or in the Quad Vierling 38 mount as an anti-aircraft weapon. The copper washed cartridge case is percussion primed and retains its original copper finish. The headstamp is P waffenampt WaA4g XV 38 33b . The projectile is a HE (High Explosive) Practice copper driving banded projectile and is stamped above the driving band P224 4f 1939 (an eight pointed star) . The projectile retains most of its the original green paint tracer band over the driving band The projectile has some traces of black stencilled round its with the yellow circumference which looks like C/O/69cbb. The alloy nose plug fuse has three arrows pointing to the nose, designating an inert nose fuse fitted and Waa116 . Both projectile and cartridge case have no cracks. Price includes UK delivery. Sn.
