2nd Pattern 'FS' Fighting Knives were introduced in 1941 (see pages 55 and 58 of British & Commonwealth Military knives By Flook). This is a great example of the WW2, 2nd Pattern, Officer's fighting knife. It has an undamaged 174mm blade with medial ridge. It has a knurled nickel plated brass handle and cross guard. The dagger is complete with original scabbard with nickel plated chape. The scabbard has an integral belt loop and retains it's 4 sew on tabs. It also has its single elastic retaining strap.
