A Fine Brass Framed Blunderbuss Pistol By Waters & Co, Circa 1781. With two-staged brass barrel belled at the muzzle, fitted with a spring bayonet beneath, border engraved brass action with sliding safety catch, signed 'Waters & Co' on one side and 'Patent No. 24' on the other, bag shaped walnut butt, complete with turned horn ramrod.

Made brass cannon barrel flintlock coach pistols and brass barrel, bell muzzle, flintlock pistols. John Waters patented a spring bayonet release. Shop at Birmingham. Name changed to John Water & Co. 1781 to 1810.
