~ A Deactivated Enfield No. 4 Mk I Cut Away Rifle ~
The rifle comes with its deactivation certificate dated 28/03/2013.
These cut away rifles were used as instructional training aids when teaching recruits to demonstrate the working parts of the service rifle.
It has areas cut away to reveal the inner workings, so when cocked or dry fired the internals can be seen working. The left side has been stamped "No4MkI* Long Branch 1943".
The serial number ‘25L3386’ is stamped on the left side of the metal frame between the trigger guard and the wooden stock.
All its components are stamped with deactivation marks, proof marks and broad arrows.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel has a length of 8.26 inches (21 cm), with the Enfield having a length of 28 inches (71 cm) overall. It weighs 2.6 kg.
~ Condition ~
The rifle is in fair condition. The metal remains clean with some paint loss. It can be cocked and dry fired.
The stock is a bit loose.
