~ A WW2 M40 German Army Infantry Soldier’s Tunic ~
This is an original M40 pattern WW2 German infantry mans tunic which comes with its authenticity certificate from Dortmund.
The certificate was released by Carsten Staegemeir Dortmund, Expertise number 1658 stating that the uniform an its components ‘do not glow under UV light’, ‘everything corresponds in size and texture the former regulations’ of the German army, its dimensions ‘correspond with the manufacturing tolerances and age wear’ and that by his expert opinion the uniform is original, corresponding also with the standards mentioned in the literature.
The uniform is complete with all its badges including the BEVO eagle and the manufacturer’s label.
The label reads ‘Seit 1860, A Kronenberg, Oldenstadt-Uelzen, Uniform-Ausstatter’.
All the buttons are present.
The lining is made of grey viscose.
~ Dimensions ~
The tunic measures approximately 30 inches (76 cm) long from collar to hem and 17.5 inches (44.5 cm), across the shoulders. From armpit to armpit it measures 19 inches (48 cm). The sleeves are 24.2 inches (62 cm) long on the outside. The waist is 16.5 inches (62 cm) across.
It weighs 1.1 kg.
~ Condition ~
Except for couple tiny moth holes on the right sleeve (approx 2-3 mm each) and the some signs of wear the uniform is in excellent condition.
The lining is excellent.
