~ An Antique Persian Brass and White Metal Silver Jambiya Dagger ~
The dagger is mounted in a later wooden frame with a Persian carpet background.
This is a traditional dagger (hanger) used by the inhabitants of Asir Mountains.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity numbered 19018 and dated 11/3/99.
The curved double fullered blade is engraved with Persian motifs as is the silver and wood grip.
The scabbard is made of wood covered with decorated white metal (silver), leather and brass layers.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade length is 13.75 inches (35 cm) and the overall length of the dagger is 19.65 inches (50 cm).
The case stands 27.75 inches (70.5 cm) tall, is 15.94 inches (40.5 cm) wide and 3.34 inches (8.5 cm) deep.
The set weighs 5.2 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The blade is in fair condition with some amount of pitting, minor nicks and few spots of surface rust.
The scabbard is worn, especially on the back side.
