A good example of the Yataghan sword bayonet for Artillery carbines. These bayonets were used by the British Army during the Crimean & Boer Wars. The bayonets were made by English manufacturer's and the German Solingen trade. This example has a polished steel blade in clean undamaged condition. The blade is 22 3/4" long (28 1/2") overall and has a curving tip. The blade is fullered for three quarters of its length. The ricasso is stamped with part of the German, Solingen blade manufacturer's 'helmet' trademark (Weyersberg Kirschbaum). It's leather 2-piece grip is stamped with a chequered pattern and are undamaged. The rare steel scabbard has just minor dents to be expected with service use and age. Price includes UK delivery.
