Manufactured at the British military arsenal at the Tower of London and marked on the lockplate with a royal Crown, "TOWER" & "GR" The lockplate also stamped with the military broad arrow mark. Approximately .75 calibre. The barrel stamped on top with London proof marks. Fitted with two steel sling swivels. Dating from the time of the Napoleonic Wars, Circa 1803-1815. Standard military brass but-plate and matching brass military style trigger-guard, single forend pipe and brass sideplate with 3 screws. Action in excellent working order. Complete with its original steel ramrod. In good overall condition. This type of Flintlock carbine was carried by British troops during the era of the Napoleonic campaigns of the late 18th-early 19th century. Overall length 43.5 inches.
