Browning Hi Power MK1 Wartime. Here we have a stunning example of a not your regular Hi Power- this early tangent sighted MK1 model with ring hammer and beautiful original blued finish and full matching numbers on the slide/ receiver and barrel.
I have checked out the information on WW2 serial numbers- it is impossible to date accurately as all records were lost, but this serial number dates this to a early 1944 production at Fabrique National Herstal Belgium, the serial number is also interesting as it's in the grey area of the cross over from tangent to fixed sights. Definitely using up the last of the old parts, already switching production to the simplified design.
It has the correct WW2 magazine and is wafflem stamped and comes with a spare magazine and 3 inert rounds.
The finish, magazine and the fact it does not have the stock slot makes it correct for WW2.
The original finish is superb in every way, no pitting at all, the original wooden grips are perfect and as a bonus it has a clear barrel deactivation, just a pin in the breach.
The pistol strips, cocks and dry fires and comes with correct UK deactivation certificate.
This is a fantastic war time MK 1 Nazi Browning Hi Power, it will make a super addition to any collection or reenactor.
Pick up only. Don't miss out, this is the best example I have seen in many, many years.
