C1750 British Royal Navy Oak Black Powder Keg With Carry Chain & Cork Stopper. Sn 10560.

An original, British Royal Navy Black Powder Keg With Carry Chain & Cork Stopper. The keg measures 7 1/2" diameter by 6 1/2" and was made C1750. It is constructed of Oak Panels secured by 2 broad steel riveted bands. The keg made for carrying black powder for Naval Guns has it's original cork stopper and carry/ hanging chains. The metal work has even patina throughout and is complete and intact. The wood is undamaged and complete. The bottom and top Oak panels are impressed with inspection marks. Sn 10560.
