~ Cased Circa 1870 Belgium Rimfire Revolver Integral Dagger ~
This is a 5 mm calibre Belgium rimfire revolver which comes with its hinged wavy edge folding bayonet and its original red leather and red velvet case.
The bayonet is stamped ‘Delhaxe Brevete’.
The cylinder, the barrel and the frame are stamped each with a Belgian proof mark.
The case is made of red leather lined with red velvet. As seen in the pictures it has a special compartment if the dagger is detached.
Except for the trigger, the dagger and the hammer all other metal components are blued.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel length is 2.1 inches (5.5 cm), the dagger length is 3.5 inches (9 cm) and the overall length of the pistol with the folded dagger is 4.9 inches (12.5 cm).
The width of the box is 7.1 inches (18 cm), its depth is 4.2 inches (11 cm) and its height is 1.2 inches (4.5 cm).
The set weighs 400 grams.
~ Condition ~
The pistol is in excellent condition for its age. The action is excellent and the bayonet folds as intended.
There are almost no spots of rust and the original blue is preserved on 95% of the metal parts.
The wooden grips have minimum signs of wear.
The box is worn with a tear to the upper lid. The interior is clean and in good order.
