The Ultimax MK II was developed by Chartered Industries of Singapore. The rugged but relatively light frame made the weapon easy to carry and fire. This rare patent pending version can be cocked and dry fired. This fixed barrel weapon developed into the quick change barrel, MKIII version which came into production in 1982 and became standard issue for Singapore Armed Forces. It became popular as an Urban and Jungle warfare weapon and as a result was adopted for use by combatants in the Bosnian Civil War. This great example of the Ultimax MK II is 40.5 inches overall and weighs 10lb 9 ozs. It is fitted with a bayonet lug and complete with it's original, adjustable rear sight, height adjustable bipod, carry handle, removable stock, 30 round box magazine and Olive green webbing sling with padded shoulder pad. The metal work retains 90%+ of it's original finish and it's black plastic pistol grips are in great condition. There are no signs of damage or repair. The weapon is nicely stamped on it's right side with manufacturer's detail and serial number ' ULTIMAX S. A.W MK II CAL 5.56mm MFD BY CHARTERED INDUSTRIES OF SINGAPORE PTE LTD' and ' SERIAL NO. 0010 PATS PEND'. It is also stamped on the pistol grip with a circular logo containing 'CIS SINGAPORE SAW'.
