~ A circa 1860 German Silver Percussion Pistol by Page of London ~
The full silver stock has been extensively engraved with fine foliate scrolls, with a matching trigger guard. The octagonal barrel has fine silver floral inlay going up a third the barrel. The underside on the butt has a lock plate for the storage of percussion caps. The barrel is fitted with fore and rear sights and a homes a steel ramrod. The butt, just behind the hammer, is engraved for Page of London.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel has a length of 6.5 inches (16.5cm), with the pistol measuring 11 inches (28cm) long overall. It weighs 845g.
~ Condition ~
The pistol is in excellent condition. The engraving is very sharp and crisp. Some of the silver inlay is worn from the barrel. It has a smooth action & can half cocked, cocked and released with ease. A rare & unique pistol.
