~ Circa 1970’s East German Army Officers Dagger Set ~
A 1970's era East German Army (Nationale Volksarmee - NVA) Officer's parade dagger and deluxe hanging straps.
The dagger has a ribbed ivorine grip with nickel finish screw top pommel with pebbled finish. The crossguard are ended acorn adorned shaped 'S', with ferrule and locking button.
The double edged twin blood grooved blade is numbered 82226 and retains all nickel finish and leather buffer.
The scabbard is decorated with oakleaf decoration and D.D.R. national emblem scabbard, featuring central black enamel shaft and a nickel base. The scabbard is finished with hanging straps.
The dagger is inside its original box, and comes with belt, hanger & certificate.

The blade has a length of 9.8 inches (24.9 cm), the dagger has a total length of 14 inches (35.6 cm), 15.5 inches (39.4 cm) when inside scabbard.
The box measures 16.5 inches (41.9 cm) long by 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide by 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) tall.
The set weighs 695 g.

The box is worn but the dagger and set remains in excellent condition.
