A scarce 54 bore double action English 5 shot Percussion revolver dating from the time of the Crimean War, circa 1853-1856. Made by ADAMS and engraved on the frame "ADAM'S PATENT"- WD and broad arrow marked showing that this piece was at some stage issued to an officer by the British government. Engraved on the top strap with the original retailers name "LONDON ARMOURY". Fitted with an attachment for a shoulder stock to the rear of the grip. In Excellent condition. Blued octagonal barrel approx 6 inches in length. Overall length is 12.5 inches. The frame with much original engraving, and still with lots of original blued finish and in excellent overall condition. Action in good working condition. The grips nicely chequered. Ref 8678. This is an antique weapon and is sold as a collectors item only. No Licence is required in the United Kingdom.
