I probably spend more time on Gunstar than anywhere else and have bought and sold many items on here . Interesting to read other peoples experiences too . I have found some amazing and rare items on here too which is pleasing as a collector myself . .
I have also had bad experiences like gangsta types and people asking me for " real " guns etc .
I confess I prefer postal sales as I work mega hours and how many times have I met people only to get the " whats your best price bud ? " shinanigans - or much worse .
I just don,t have time to mess about with these people .
Most recently I sold a modelgun to a party who immediately took out a paypal dispute on me saying item is " not as described " he now will not communicate with me even tho I have his name and address , and he has my gun PLUS my money , which is held by Paypal pending a resolution .
So I am now nearly £400 out of pocket and I can only assume that this person is a scammer looking to get both the gun and his money back - perhaps he has done this before too ?
If he does this with every paypal sale surely he is bound to get lucky sooner or later ?
Anyway hopefully the matter will be resolved in my favour , not the toe rag who looks to steal from people .
Its a tough one because even when you do everything you can to cover yourself and act fairly with people there are still those predatory individuals out there who are looking to scam you . So be careful when you are dealing with people you don,t know or if you are suspicious of someones intent . Carl.

id drive to his house and demand the gun back and refund him there and then because no matter what paypal protect the buyer so the dispute will be closed in his favour, he would get me on his door step if he done me out of £400 :)

Driving to his house is more likely to make things worse than better. Secondly, you never know who you`re dealing with.
Paypal does protect the buyer though, which is unfair.
