What does LR mean?
When asked what model for my rifle I answered .22LR because it is a .22 and there was no other option for .22. I`m now wondering if I have done the wrong thing and LR means something that my gun doesn`t have! Can anyone explain please?

LR means long rifle. Its the type of cartrige the gun takes. A few of the Variations on the .22 caliber are as follows: .22 short .22 long .22wmr .22 magnum .22 cap/BB. I highly doubt it would be the last one as they are exetremly rear, due to the fact its so incredibly low powered. Thats unless its an air rifle. Hope it helps :-)
