Description
WW1 French 1886/93/16 Epee Lebel Bayonet (Officially Modified 1916 By Quillon Removal) & Scabbard. Bayo 93 - Bayo 93
This is an excellent original WW1 French 1886/93/16 Epee Lebel Bayonet and scabbard for the Lebel Rifle. This weapon was officially modified in 1915 and no longer incorporated a hook quillon. The cross guard block is stamped 'FJ 47271'. It's sprung muzzle ring catch with knurled button works perfectly. It has a white metal hilt/ handle. It has a 20 1/2" cruciform blade which is in excellent condition. It's steel scabbard is in great condition with no dents or kinks which is often the case with these scabbards, belt loop with ""M 4542". (See pages 85, 96 item 209 in 'The Bayonet Book' by Watts & White). The price includes UK delivery. Bayo 93
