~ French Napoleonic Wars Period IX Style Blue & Gilt Briquet Sabre And Scabbard ~
This is a Napoleonic Wars piece with a half blued and beautifully etched blade.
It is a transitional period piece with a type IX blade and a type XI brass grip.
The gold decorations of the blade depict oriental soldiers and arms, drums and banners, placing the sword in the period of the French campaigns in North Africa.
The sword comes with its black leather scabbard decorated with gilt brass fittings.
There are no marks or stamps on the grip of the sword.

The blade is 22.75 inches (58 cm) long and the overall length of the sword is 28 inches (71 cm).
The sword in its scabbard length is 30.25 inches (77 cm).
It weighs 820 grams.
~ Condition ~
The blade is excellent, free of any rust or damage.
The bluing and its decorations are intact.
The grip is excellent as well with minimal signs of use.
The leather scabbard is partially worn but its brass fittings remain in good condition.
