A near mint, Victorian era English Bowie & Scabbard. It has lovely stag horn scales & German Silver crossguard. It has a 7" single edged, spear point steel blade, marked ‘George Butler & Co Trinity Works Sheffield England’ with ‘key’ trademark (George Butler & Co Sheffield C1810-1952, see pages 169-170 of the Sheffield knife Book by Tweedale). Its original brown leather sheath has an integral belt loop and tooled diamond form decoration. The leather is also impressed with the ‘Butler Sheffield’ name and key trademark.
