A very nice AND RARE ITALIAN EXAMPLE example of a 100 % original WW2 trench knife made from a bayonet.
This is a rare item in that you find very few Italian trench knife bayonet conversions on the collectors market. The is a really nice piece of field manufacture with a chunky and shaped wood grip with a pronounced pommel to stop the hand slipping, This is complemented by steel guard made from the original bayonet guard, and a large steel ferrule. The bayonet blade has been shortened to form a single edged, spear point, double edged Fairbairn Sykes Commando dagger type blade. .
Blade length about 16 cm, with an overall knife length of about 29.5 cm. . Came from an established collection of trench knives made from Bayonets. Please keep referring to our adverts for more examples of bayonet conversions trench knives. Knife itself is in overall good / very good condition.
