J. Nowill & Sons Campaigning Knife, similar to one advertised in the 1907 Army & Navy Stores Catalogue (p.990).These knives are also referred to as 'Cavalry Horseman's folding knife' or 'Coachman's Pocket Knife'.
This example has German Silver scales, which have not been engraved or personalised in any way, and the following nine blades:
3.5 inch large blade, marked J. Nowill & Sons, Sheffield, with Cross Keys and *D
Screwdriver on one end
Two Trace Bolts
All of the above are in good condition for age, with no nicks in the blade - a generally good representative example of this type of knife.
