WW2 Era Theatre Made Japanese Wakazashi Short Sword With Scabbard Both With Field Combat Covers. Sn 12738 - 12738
This Wakazashi was made by Japanese Army armourers in the field sometime during WW2. It has a clean 18 ½” long blade and it measures 25 ½” overall. The blade has no damage or nicks to the cutting edge. The tang is unsigned but does appear to have a small indistinct inspection mark on one side (illustrated inset in image 2). The hilt has a large tsuba and brass & leather fittings. The wood handle is tightly bound with a leather field combat / foul weather cover. The original wood scabbard is tightly bound with its leather field combat covering. It has a brass throat mount and single hanging ring. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 12738
