Create my profile now!An original US Vietnam period M4 bayonet manufactured by 'Bren-Dan' (a scarce maker) with black plastic grips and M8A1 scabbard. The bayonet has black plastic diamond moulded grips, this was the last of the M4 variants and had plastic grips in order to combat the rotting of the previously used leather ones. The grips are secured with two screws. The blade measures 6 1/2" long and is steel, there are no visible markings on the blade. The cross guard has a muzzle ring and the guard is stamped with "US M4 Bren-Dan" as can be seen in one of the photographs. The pommel incorporates the spring loaded bayonet release mechanism which operates smoothly. The scabbard is the correct one for the knife has a webbing frog which is formed to make a belt loop and is secured with two rivets to the scabbard. The frog also retains the webbing securing strap which fastens with a brass press stud. It also has a wire belt clip. The scabbard is stamped on the metal top with "US M8A1 PWH" This is a very good condition, near mint, example of the last variant of the M4 bayonet and scabbard. The price includes Uk delivery.
