Original WW2 3rd Pattern Commando Fairbairn Sykes FS Fighting Knife With No.3 Mould Mark With Scabbard Issued To A WW2 RAF Fighter Pilot. ED 2334
An excellent original WW2 3rd Pattern Fairburn Sykes fighting knife or dagger. The 3rd pattern knife was introduced in 1942 ( see page 60- 63 of British & Commonwealth Military Knives By Flook). It has an undamaged ribbed handle with original brown paint and a blued blade. This example has copper finish to the blade under the bluing which was applied to the weapons prior to bluing. It has a number 3 mould mark on the handle. The dagger is complete with correct original leather scabbard in nice undamaged condition with external chape and single belt loop. It retains it's 4 leather sewn on tabs & elastic retaining strap. This FS dagger was issued to a WW2 RAF Fighter Pilot and acquired from the family of the Pilot. Price includes UK delivery. ED 2334
