This is an early Belgian Gendarmerie Parade Kepi for Warrant Officer (NCO) ranks of the National Police (Rijkswacht) which was part of the Belgian Army. The kepi is in good condition and free of any damage. It has a black peak with a silver bullion braided and knotted cord chin strap. Secured with a metal gilt button on either side. The kepi has a black head band. To the front it has a metal gilt button with a loop of braided silver bullion cord similar to the chin strap looped up to a cockade in silver bullion cord with a Kings Crown and the letter 'B', the letter B stands for the late King Baudouin. The sides and top are in very good undamaged condition, piped in silver round the top and above the head band and up the sides on each side. Inside it has a grey leather headband with a cloth lining. There is a makers label inside "'Labor Van Poucke Kerkistraat 22" and a small size label "57 1/2". This is a very nice example. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 12438
