~ M1948 Yugoslavian (Serbian) Mauser Rifle Bayonet With Scabbard And Frog ~
This is a post-war Yugoslavian bayonet for their Mauser rifle.
The blade is stamped on one side “PREDUZECE 44” (in Cyrillic), the military code of a Serbo-Croatian enterprise or factory no. 44.
The opposite side is stamped with a series of proof marks.
The guard is stamped with serial number “48401” and the scabbard is stamped “11556”.
The brown leather frog is not marked.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade length is 9.6 inches (24.5 cm) and the bayonet’s overall length is 14.8 (37.7 cm).
The set length is 16 inches (41.5 cm).
It weighs 600 grams.
~ Condition ~
The blade is in excellent used condition.
The wooden grips are a later replacement but the metal part of the grip is good and original.
Its catch spring is weak.
The scabbard has lost most of its black paint but the metal remains undamaged and free of rust.
The frog has some amount of wear but remains undamaged.
