~ A Percussion Pistol by Cooper Circa 1860 with a 0.5" Bore ~
This pistol has a smooth dark walnut stock with checkered detail to the grip. The metalwork has been finished with ornate floral engravings around the lock and trigger guard. The name "Cooper" is marked to the lock plate. Below the barrel is the original dark wood ram rod with a smooth horn end.
~ Dimensions ~
The pistol measures 9 inches (23cm). The barrel measures 4.5 inches (11.5cm). It weighs 415g.
~ Condition ~
The pistol is in good antique condition. The barrel has darkened with age with some light pitting but the metalwork is clean.
The woodwork has some minor bruising but is free from chips. There is a stable crack behind the hammer.
This pistol half cocks, cocks and releases with a strong spring on a hair trigger.
