WW2, 1938, Japanese Nambu Type 14 8mm Semi Automatic Pistol By Nambu Rifle Manufacturing Company/Chuo Kogyo Production at Kokubunji Under Nagoya Arsenal Supervision. Sn 10874 - 10874The Type 14 Nambu was designed in 1925 with the goal of simplifying manufacturing. It was officially adopted for issue to Non-Commissioned Officers in the Japanese Army in 1927. This is an excellent, original Type 14 nambu 8mm Semi Automatic pistol. It has excellent metal work and grooved wood grips and retains it's original finish. It has the correct early production unmodified trigger guard. The right side of the frame is marked with the manufacturer's script characters 'Nambu Rifle Manufacturing Company/Chuo Kogyo Production at Kokubunji under Nagoya Arsenal Supervision'. It has date marks Showa '13.4.' which dates it to April 1938. The pistol is serial number number '47984'. The left side of the pistol has Japanese script Arsenal marks. The magazine is stamped '434' and with a Japanese script inspection mark. The weapon strips, cocks and dry fires.
