~ A New Spec Post–War German Walther P38 Pistol ~
The pistol comes with its deactivation certificate dated 15/04/2015.
This is in fact the P38s or P1 version developed after the war for the German police and for export.
The right side of the frame is stamped with the manufacturing date ‘4/60’ (April 1950).
All its components are stamped with one or a pair of inspector’s proof marks, a ‘box eagle’ with no. 165 inside.
Another factory mark is present both on the slide and on the frame is a circle with a dot inside it and a star.
The pistol bears also a number of BNP stamps and its serial number ‘087858’ is stamped on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard.
The frame is stamped on the left ‘Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do, P38 Cal. 9mm’.
The magazine bears also the Walther trademark and its manufacturing date '8/60' (August 1960).
The barrel is stamped underneath with a BNP stamp indicating the calibre of 9 x 19 mm.
The pistol can be cocked and dry fired.
The grips are made of plastic.
~ Dimensions ~
The gun has a barrel that measures 5 inches (12.75cm) long, with a overall length of 8.5 inches (21.5cm). It weighs 830 grams.
~ Condition ~
The pistol is in fair used condition.
The plastic grips have some heavy usage signs but are free of cracks.
