~ A Rare FN Minimi PARA 5.56mm Light Machine Gun ~
These model is currently used by the UK Forces.
It has a folding stock, short barrel and Picatinny rail for to support scopes and night vision devices.
It has full working parts and can be stripped down apart from barrel.
The left hand side of the metal body is stamped with the 'Herstal' factory logo, the name and caliber of the machine gun 'MINIMI 5.56' and the serial number 'FN081100'.
On the top pf the barrel can be seen a pair of proof marks, the calibre of the machine gun '5.56' and the serial numbers 'TW7' and '1100-1'.
The machine gun cocks and dry fires.
It comes with its deactivation certificate dated 24.09.2013
Included are twenty inert rounds on the belt and an empty two hundred round ammo box.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel length is 35 cm (13.7 inches) and the overall length of the weapon is 76.5 cm (30.1 inches) - with the stock folded.
It weighs 7.36 kg.
~ Condition ~
The light machine gun is in excellent condition, minimal wear.

~ The FN Minimi ~
The FN Minimi first appeared in 1974 and was adopted by the US Army in 1982 as a Squad Automatic Weapon. Since then it has been used by over thirty countries around the world, including Australia and Canada.
It was officially adopted by the British Army in 2003, though it has been in use with UK Special Forces since they started `acquiring' them from our allies
in the mid-1980s.
They are capable of firing from a disintegrating link belt feed or from M16 type magazines and have a rate of fire between 750 - 1200 RPM, depending on the gas setting.
