~ Old Specification Deactivated Steyr AUG Assault Rifle With Carrying Strap and Bayonet ~
The AUG is an Austrian bull pup 5.56mm assault rifle, designed in the 1960s by Steyr Mannlicher GmbH & Co KG (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch). The AUG (Armee-Universal-Gewehr—"uni versal army rifle") was adopted by the Austrian Army as the StG 77 (Sturmgewehr 77) in 1978, where it replaced the 7.62mm StG 58 automatic rifle. In production since 1978, it is the standard small arm of the Austrian Bundesheer and various national police units.
The serial number "119034" is stamped on the ejection system, metal frame beneath the barrel and on the barrel. Near the serial number on the barrel, the stamps for the calibre 5.56 and the deactivation mark are present.
The stock is stamped with "Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG Austria, AUG". The firearm can be striped as seen in the pictures.
It comes with its plastic magazine, bayonet in its scabbard and carrying strap.
The plastic barrel protection cap is present.
The plastic magazine is stamped with the serial number "12.00.05.0001".
The assault rifle cocks and dry fires.
It comes with its deactivation certificate dated 12.12.91.
~ Dimensions ~
The assault rifles length is 79 cm (31.1 inches) and the barrels length is 55.8 cm (22 inches).
It weighs 4.3 Kg, with its bayonet fitted and 3.9 Kg without it.
~ Condition ~
The AUG and its accessories are in excellent condition. Except for some minimum wear, the rifle is in perfect condition. The bayonet still preserves most of its black finish.
