~ An Ottoman Kard Dagger With Brown Leather Sheath ~
This kard has a straight single edged blade with hand punched "dot" work decoration and brass "dot" inlay. The grip is of a dark wood with carved circular decoration in keeping with the blade. The grip is partially bound in fine brass wire with twisted detailing.
The dagger comes with its tan leather sheath.
This type of dagger was mainly used in Turkey, Armenia, Persia and India in the 18th century and before.
~ Dimensions ~
The dagger measures 11 inches (28cm) in total. The blade measures 6.5 inches (16.5cm).
~ Condition ~
The knife is in decent condition for its type. The blade is showing some rusting but the decoration is still clear and intact. One inset stud is missing. The edge remains very sharp. The grip has light wear but is in good condition overall.
The leather scabbard is showing wear but still contains the blade.
