A very unusual, antique flintlock rifle, .75 cal, side lock marked REA, (Thomas?) is very long at 5' 10" long, is very heavy, story is it was purchased by a officer stationed in India, at the early part of the last century, and was used to hunt rogue tiger! two man job to handle for firing, (you had to have your helper facing you or they would run at the sight of the charging tiger, so I have been informed!) has a long range sight fitted as well as a tunnel sight for fast close shots! very good condition, nice rifling and browning to barrel,(minor scratches) light pitting around side plate (more from use than anything), minor infill repairs to stock,
could have been a parapet or ships rifle,I do not know, a fantastic find!
would prefer it being pick up, but as long as buyer covers postage!
