WW2 U.S. Remington P14 .303 Rifle & Sling With Remington 1918 Bayonet, Frankford Arsenal Marked & Scabbard. Sn 7845. This is a U.S. Remington made Pattern 1914 .303 Service Rifle complete with flip up rear sight. The forward volley sight is present but missing it's arm. The Stock is stamped with a War Department arrow and inspection marks together with number '127' in original white paint. The breech is stamped 'RE' (Remington) together with 'D.P' & serial number '259767'. This rifle was in British Service during WW2 in all probability with the Home Guard. It has numerous British ordnance marks and the butt trap contains an original brass oil container with screw lid and applicators. It is also fitted with an original leather sling. The weapon cocks & dry fires as it should. It is complete with original Remington Bayonet with clean fullered blade which is crisply stamped at the Ricasso '1918' with the Remington Roundel. The reverse is crisply stamped with the ignited grenade and Eagle's head, Frankford Arsenal mark and ’17 together with 'U.S' designation. It’s wood grips are in nice undamaged condition and the bayonet is complete with leather scabbard with steel mounts in similar nice condition. Price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery.
