Remington P13 Converted Bayonet Knives
French Foreign Legion Paratrooper’s Fighting Knife, 1940s/50s Indochina.
Converted P13 Remington bayonet, with cut-down blade, removed muzzle ring and shortened sheath. Conversion quite crudely executed in field base workshops,
these were made especially for 1 and 2 BEP parachute battalions during the late 1940s in Indochina, prior to the replacement by US M3 knives.
Retains the original webbing frog to sheath. Many had new leather fittings attached. Shows considerable useage, but complete and generally good condition.
7-1/4 inch blade, 12 inches overall.
