This is an impressive original Large Bowie Knife made in Sheffield by Ron & Roy Middleton Sheffield sons of J.E. Middleton. It has a perfect 9” long deep swept Bowie blade which is a broad 1 ¾” at its widest edge. The back of the blade has scalloped tool work. The knife measures 14 ½” overall. The ricasso is stamped with the Knife makers name 'R.R. Middleton, Sheffield'. It has a brass cross guard and dramatic stylised Eagle's Head pommel. The handle is made of beautifully curved Stag horn and it is complete with its black leather sheath. The rear of the sheath has a single belt loop impressed ‘RM’.
