Boer War / Edwardian Era Scottish Highland Light Infantry Leather Cross Belt & Pouch With King’s Crown Silvered & Gilt Badge. Sn 12692 - 12692

The Highland Light Infantry (HLI) was a light infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1881. It was amalgamated with the Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1959 to form the Royal Highland Fusiliers (Princess Margaret's Own Glasgow and Ayrshire Regiment). This is a nice original Boer War / Edwardian era HLI Cross Belt & Pouch. The belt and pouch are leather. The belt is 32" long. The leather pouch has a full flap cover and internal pocket dividers. The flap has a leather tab with eyelet which fastens to a steel stud on the underside of the pouch. The front of the pouch is mounted with the silvered & gilt badge of the HLI with King’s Crown.
