Probably made for export. The lockplate engraved with the lock makers name "C. Maye Marseille". Silver decorated side plate. The 13.5 inch barrel heavy chased and engraved with floral decoration for the first few inches. Silver decorated butt cap, side plate and escutcheon. The silver mounts stamped with French silver hall marks in four places . Steel trigger guard. No ramrod. Good crisp action, some silver wire now missing. A very attractive pistol.
