VERY RARE, ALL MATCHING NUMBERS, No.1868 of 11,900 Made 1925-1934 Simson & Co Suhl ‘Eagle 6’ Marked WW2 Use German PO8 9mm Luger Semi Auto Pistol . Sn 10323

The German Arms manufacturer Simson & Co only made Luger pistols between 1925 & 1934 and only 11,900 were produced. These pistols bear the Simson & Co ‘S’ mark and ‘Eagle 6’ inspection mark. The weapons made for the Reichswehr saw service in the Weimar Era and through WW2. The majority saw hard use. These pistols are very rare (see pages 9 & 85 of Simson Lugers By Tinker & Johnson). This is one of those rare pistols in very good condition. It is complete with it's original wood chequered grips which are undamaged. It bears the correct manufacturer's ‘S’ mark on the toggle together with ‘Eagle 6’ inspection marks on the frame and barrel. The pistol is serial number '1868' (of 11,900) and has all matching numbers on all parts including the barrel. Interestingly pistol number ‘1867’ is illustrated on page 198 of the Simson Luger book. The pistol has some pitting to the frame which is to be expected of one of these much used service pistols but it has no rust. The pistol's magazine has an alloy butt. The pistol strips cocks and dry fires. The Price for this limited production rare to find maker WW1 pistol includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. Sn 10323
