Create my profile now! This is a Turkish M1935 bayonet which has been modified by the addition of an extra muzzle ring welded behind the existing one. In 1935 the Turkish authorities decided to streamline their vast array of weapons and standardise them to a 1903 style rifle and 250mm bayonet blades. Some bayonets were newly made and others were converted as the Turks held many different types of weapon. This has the markings of "ASFA" for 'Arisaka Fabrika' or military factory stamped onto the pommel together with a serial number "225882". The blade is fullered but devoid of markings. The scabbard is all steel and the frog stud is marked with "OE WG" which is the Austrian markings of the state arsenal together with an eagle and "83". (see Martin J. Brayley an Illustrated History of Bayonets book, pages 219 & 221). This is a scarce bayonet. especially with the muzzle ring modification. The price includes UK delivery. Bayo 135
