VICTORIAN MILITARY PATTERN HORN HANDLED KUKRI OF FINE QUALITY WITH SHEATH WITH TRIPLE "DAGGER" CHAKMAKS COMPANION KNIVES AND PURSE POCKET AT A BARGAIN PRICE OF £75 !
Overall very nice condition.
This is a very nice quality Victorian Military Pattern Kukri complete with its original sheath which has four pockets, three to carry the triple "dagger" chakmaks companion knives and a large purse pocket. The kukri also has a pair of red coloured round bangles or buttons attached by leather laces on the front. Thee are very occasionally are attached to kukris, and would love to know their significance if anyone has any ideas???
The superior quality and very sharp blade is about 24.3 cm long measured in a straight line, not on the curve and measures about 4.7 cm at its widest. Also has a rather unusual cho or kaura notch on the edge of the blade near the hilt.
A very small area of the blade shows above the sheath, the sheaths shrink over time although the very clean blade is a nice tight fit in the sheath, Buffalo horn handle with brass pommel and bolster.
Overall very nice condition
