~ Victorian Silver And Steel Sword Stick ~
This is an excellent example of a short bladed full steel sword stick.
Decorated in a silver floral pattern on a black background the design of the stick is of an Indian or oriental inspiration.
Its grip is shaped as a stylised tigers head with its mouth largely opened with a protuberance resembling a fin order to ensure a better grip when the blade is used.
When holstered the sword is screwed into its two piece metal scabbard, which can be split in two components from its middle section.
The ferrel of the scabbard is pointed.
The blade is shaped as an irregular rectangle.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade is 1425 inches (36 cm) long and the overall length of the stick is 37 inches (94 cm).
It weighs 800 grams.
~ Condition ~
The blade remains excellent, free of any damage or rust.
The grip and the scabbard have minimum ageing.
The central screw of the scabbard has worn a bit and it’s a bit wobbly.
~ Postage ~
UK postage is £18 or it can be picked up from our shop in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
