SOLD ### NEW LISTING ### 24/5/16VINTAGE BRITISH ARMY MK 5 GURKHA RIFLES KUKRI WITH ORIGINAL SHEATH AND FROG AND SMALL CHAKMAKS 1950'S - FALKLANDS WAR ERA
Overall nice / very probably unused condition. An interesting feature is that it has most of the typically British Army Brown Vintage Metal Storage Grease on the blade
Comes complete with its original sheath, belt frog, and both chakmak companion knives.
This is a British Army MK 5 Gurkha Kukri that came with another Mk5 used kukri and a presenation kukri .....
(Please refer our other listing) a would like one or both when purchasing this or the other 10GR kukri.
The Mk 5 Kukris were almost always a "Unit Purchase" from Nepal often without markings as on this kukri ( but if marked never showing a broad arrow, NATO stock number and so but either an abbreviated makers stamp and date such as "BG 81" or just a date stamp such as "81" )...
Nice clean blade about 27 cm long measured in a straight line.. not on the curve.
This appears to be a vintage kukri and another reason it is probably a vintage item is that it has a plain field use not the later pattern patent leather sheath and belt frog.that were covered with a cloth camo cover for field use.
You must be at least 18 years of age to buy this item.
