sold sold sold Matching Numbers Apart From Butt, WW2, 1943 Dated, Nazi Marked, Maschinengewehr MG 34, Machine Gun (Waffenwerke Bruenn) With Partial Ammo Belt & Inert Rounds. D 1292. D 1292

The Maschinengewehr 34, or MG 34, Machine Gun was first produced and accepted into service in 1934. It was first issued to German units in 1935. It accepts the 7.92 x 57mm Mauser cartridge. It was designed to perform both as a light machine gun and classic infantry support weapon. The MG 34 was used as an infantry machine gun during the 1930s, and remained as the primary tank and aircraft defensive weapon throughout WW2. This is an excellent original example. It retains it's original finish in superb condition and strips, cocks and dry fires. It has an excellent undamaged wood stock and grooved bakelite grips. It is fitted with a bi pod and has flip up forward and rear sights. The rear sight's graduation markings are nicely highlighted in original yellow paint. The top of the weapon, forward of the receiver, is crisply stamped 'dot' which is the German Wartime code for Waffenwerke Bruenn, Bruenn Plant, Czechoslovakia, '1943' date and '7638a' (illustrated). The top of the frame near to the stock is stamped with matching number '7638' and Waffenamt 'WaA63'. The butt is stamped '9335b'. The weapon comes complete with partial ammo belt and inert rounds. Price for this excellent, Nazi marked, WW2 dated, MG 34 includes UK delivery and deactivation certificate. D 1292
