~ Whitneyville Armory Pocket 5 Shot Revolver .32 Cal Rim Fire ~
The American Whitneyville Armoury was founded in 1798 at New Haven Connecticut by Eli Whitney.
Whitney manufactured under licence the Colt Whitney Walker Dragoon Revolvers.
This is an original rim fire revolver with an octagonal barrel, fitted with a brass blade fore sight and chromed brass frame.
The top of the barrel is stamped 'Whitneyville Armory CT USA, Pat May 23 1871’.
The revolver has walnut grips which are attached together by a central screw.
The metal frame of the grip is stamped with the serial number 1943R.
The revolver half cocks, cocks and indexes as intended by the manufacturer.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel length is 2 inches (5 cm) and an overall length of 6.5 inches (16.5 cm).
It weighs 350 grams.
~ Condition ~
Except for the expected signs of wear such as loss of the chrome and loss of bluing on the edges, the revolver is in excellent condition.
The grips are complete and damage free with minimum wear.
As said above the mechanism is in good working order.
